Mike Brewer to sell more of his collection
Mike Brewer famed for several car programmes, the most famous of which is Wheeler Dealers is due to sell more cars from his collection, this time at Silverstone Auctions NEC Classic Car Show sale on the 13th November. The list of cars is as follows and all seem to be in superb order:1972 Citroen SM 2.
Rare Sunbeam Talbot to feature at Brightwells next week
A very rare 1939 Sunbeam-Talbot 4-Litre Sports Saloon with an estimate of £28,000-32,000 will be sold at Brightwells online auction next week. The car is thought to be one of just two survivors from a production of 44 cars.
Barons 420 Jaguar makes £34k
Of the cars on offer at Barons sale on Friday the standout result has to be the superb Jaguar 420 which had been subjected to a £40,000 rebuild. The car in the photographs does look stunning and certainly justified what we think is an auction record for a 420 at £34,100.
Brightwells online auction ends on Thursday 16th
Brightwell current online auction ends this coming Thursday 16th September. There are lots of interesting cars up for grabs and with two days until bidding ends there is still all to play for.
ACA results now available
Anglia Car Auctions have been quick off the mark in getting their results out for the sale over Saturday and Sunday which are now available to view on their website. .
Mathewsons results
The latest Mathewsons sale spread over Friday evening and Saturday produced what appears to be a good sale rate and we will know more when the official sale date is published in a week or so. Notable results include the £40,810 paid for a 1963 Jaguar 340 which was almost double the estimate of £21,000 to £23,000.
H&H online auction this week
H&H will be holding their next online auction on Wednesday 11th. The sale also includes an array of automobilia with several lots of brochures and assorted literature.
Historics at Windsor Lakes tomorrow
Historics hold their next sale at Windsor Lakes. This is one of their largest sales to date with 309 lots due to go under the hammer.
Manor Park Classics on the 6th July
Manor Park Classics are holding their second sale this coming Tuesday. Although the lot list isn't that big there are some interesting cars on offer especially in the low mileage category.
Bidding at Brightwells under way.
Brightwells latest timed online auction is now under way with bidding due to close on the 23rd June. There are lots of interesting cars in this sale such as a rare Austin Seven Nippy estimated at £14,000 to £16,000.
Anglia Car Auctions lot list oddball
The ACA lot list for their next sale on the 26th June is beginning to build nicely and for those seeking something a little different the lot list includes a left hand drive 1952 Hotchkiss Gregoire which is estimated at £12,000 to £18,000. Further details are to follow, but as you will see from the photographs this is a rather unique looking car.
Record for Triumph 2500 at Manor Park Classics
Record sale results are continuing to roll in across all auction houses which can only be a reflection of the buoyant state of the classic car market at present. The car in question is a Triumph 2500 Pi MK 2 which was owned by senior road test and development engineer Gordon Birtwistle.
