The latest Mathewsons sale spread over Friday evening and Saturday produced what appears to be a good sale rate and we will know more when the official sale date is published in a week or so. Notable results include the £40,810 paid for a 1963 Jaguar 340 which was almost double the estimate of £21,000 to £23,000. The car certainly looks nice in the pictures and had been largely rebuilt. Lot number 308 which is a Rover 3500 P6 Police car made strong money at £17,167. A 1980 Ford Escort MK2 1300 with just 19,000 miles from new must have been a record for this model at £19,075.
