Bidding at Brightwells under way.

Brightwells latest timed online auction is now under way with bidding due to close on the 23rd June. There are lots of interesting cars in this sale such as a rare Austin Seven Nippy estimated at £14,000 to £16,000. a 1936 Bedford 8cwt van where bidding is already up to £6,000 against the estimate of £8,000 to £12,000. A 1949 Bristol 400 is estimated at £40,000 to £45,000. Bristol 400 are a rare car but several have come to auction in recent weeks and a further car might well struggle although the estimate looks quite keen especially given that the engine has been subject to a recent rebuild. A Triumph GT6 which has been the subject of a full rebuild looks good value at the estimate of £12,000 to £14,000. Another car which looks good value if the condition is good is a 1961 Alvis TD21 estimated at £11,000 to £14,000. A 1972 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 Roadster which has come from a deceased estate looks well estimated at £40,000-50,000 given that dealers are now asking in excess of £50k for coupe cars.
