Record for Triumph 2500 at Manor Park Classics

Record sale results are continuing to roll in across all auction houses which can only be a reflection of the buoyant state of the classic car market at present. The car in question is a Triumph 2500 Pi MK 2 which was owned by senior road test and development engineer Gordon Birtwistle. The car had been subtly modified but not to an extent that it detracted from the originality of the car which has only 34,000 miles on the clock. The price paid was £24,188, far above the estimate of £8,000 to £12,000 making a significant record for this model of Triumph.
