Manor Park Classics on the 6th July

Manor Park Classics are holding their second sale this coming Tuesday.Although the lot list isn't that big there are some interesting cars on offer especially in the low mileage category. This includes a Triumph 1500 TC with 36,000 miles on the clock at no reserve. There is a Triumph TR7 convertible with 13,400 miles on the clock estimated at £5,000 to £7,000 which looks somewhat conservative. A 1970 Rover 3500 V8 Series 1 with 47,500 miles on the clock is estimated at £8,000 to £10,000. A 1990 Daimler 4.0 litre with 40,000 miles is estimated at £8,000 to £10,000. A 1980 Jaguar XJS with 49,700 miles comes with an estimate of £18,000 to £22,000. Another no reserve car is a 1977 Ford Transit Auto-Sleeper with just 50,000 miles on the clock. A 1992 Daimler Double Six with only 22,997 miles comes with an estimate of £12,000 - £16,000. Metro's are starting to gain some price momentum now and this sale includes a 1988 Austin Metro Vanden Plas with only 17,000 miles estimated at £5,000 - £7,000. There is also a 1994 Rover Metro Casino at no Reserve with only 15900 recorded miles and 1 former keeper. A 1984 Volkswagen Golf GTi Cabriolet with only 44,000 miles and current ownership since 1996 is expected to make £9,000 - £11,000.

Towards the top end of the budget is a 1956 AC Aceca fitted with a 2600cc Ford Zephyr engine with Raymond Mays 12 port alloy head and triple SU carburettors. The majority of these cars were fitted with either the Bristol or AC engine making this one something of a rarity. The estimate of £70,000 to £80,000 looks a little conservative but that may reflect the fact that the car is fitted with the Ford engine.
