Richard Edmonds are holding their first major petroliana sale online on Saturday 6th March. As always there is an unbeatable lot list with many rarities.
New record for VW Corrado Storm at The Market
The VW Corrado is undoubtedly an up and coming classic, but it does seem that they are playing a rapid catch up to their earlier counterparts such as the MK1 and MK2 Golf. There was further evidence of this recently with the online auction house, The Market who achieved a record £22,750 for a 1996 VW Corrado Storm.
No reserve AC Aceca to feature at H&H
H&H will be holding their next online auction on the 24th March. One car that is sure to generate a huge amount of interest is a 1960 AC Aceca which is in need of full restoration.
Pre war Lancia Collection on Ebay
Currently listed on Ebay is a rather unique collection of pre war Lancia's, several of which are rare, but they are all in need of full restoration. The collection includes several Augusta and Aprilia saloons as well as one Ardea.
Mathewsons sale report
Mathewsons first sale of the year appears to have gone very well despite the restrictions preventing any physical inspection of the cars on offer. There were some good results and there is clearly a lot of pent up demand out there given the delays to the first sales of the year.

Brightwells first timed auction of the year kicks off this coming Saturday with the sale due to close on the 18th. The sale has some interesting cars on offer.
Historics to sell Peter Sellers Mercedes 450 SLC
Historics first auction of the year which will take place on March 20th at the Ascot Racecourse will include a Mercedes 450SLC which was formally owned by Peter Sellers. The car was sold by Historics around five years ago and was then subjected to a total restoration and comes to the sale in superb order which combined with celebrity ownership should mean the car achieves a good premium.
Mathewsons two day auction starts at 6pm today
For anyone suffering from the lack of an auction sale fix, tonight you can address that and watch part one of Mathewsons two day auction which will be filmed live. It will be particularly interesting as the public have not been able to view the cars prior to bidding.
No reserve Austin Seven collection at H&H
H&H will be selling a collection of Austin Sevens at its 14th April which will be held at the Imperial War Museum Duxford. The cars were formerly owned by the property of newspaper and radio entrepreneur, Sir Ray Stanley Tindle CBE DL.

Mathewsons have taken the brave step of going ahead with their first sale of the year to be held over the 5th and 6th February. Current Covid restrictions mean that they will not be able to offer people the opportunity of viewing cars prior to bidding.
Derek Trotter's Reliant Van to be sold at Silverstone Auctions
For those seeking one of the most memorable cars from the 80s sitcom era you can probably do no better than Derek Trotter's van which is due to be sold at Silverstone Auctions next sale currently due to take place on Friday 5th March. The van comes with good provenance and is believed to be one of the half a dozen or so vans used during the series.
