H&H online auction
H&H are holding their latest online sale today and although it is not as large as their usual physical auctions it still includes lots of interesting cars. A good example is a rarity which is a 1938 Lanchester 14/6 Doctors Coupe, a lovely looking 6 cylinder car which comes with an undemanding estimate of £10,000 - £12,000.
Mathewsons this weekend
Mathewsons held part one of their penultimate sale of the year last night with today seeing the majority of the cars crossing the block. As always there are a huge number of cars on offer with plenty to interest most tastes.
Anglia Car Auctions tomorrow
ACA hold their final sale of the year tomorrow. Well over 200 lots are due to cross the block.
Brightwells online auction gets underway this week
Brightwells latest time auction got underway on Saturday and will end on the 5th November. Brightwells have not held a full size classic car auction this year due to the pandemic which is a shame because they always attract large numbers of cars but also understandable given the limitations of the Covid pandemic.
SWVA Results
With another lockdown looming SWVA just managed to sneak in their last sale of the year on Friday. As always they have generated a very high sale rate of 94%.
SWVA
SWVA will be holding their last auction of the year this coming Friday. They generally focus on the more budget end of the market, but always have interesting cars for the enthusiast and this sale is no exception with plenty to interest enthusiasts.
Richard Edmonds on Saturday
If you are search of a Petroliana fix, then look no further than Richard Edmonds sale this coming Saturday. The catalogue is now online with 832 lots of petroliana and automobilia including several collections of petrol pumps and globes, enamel signs and oil cans in addition to a private collection of vintage Lagonda spares.
H&H online results
H&H held an online auction last week which generated mixed results. The standout performers include £14,062 paid for a 1972 Mini 1275GT which had no reserve.
Bonhams Speed Week sale results
Bonhams Speed Week sale held this past weekend at the Goodwood event of the same name generated a low sale rate, but bearing in mind we are in the middle of a pandemic and the cars on offer were right at the top end despite some some fantastic cars being available, it was perhaps not that surprising. There were still lots of good results and at any other time we believe the numbers would have been a lot better, but with pandemic restrictions now taking effect across the country people are less inclined at the moment to travel to auction viewing days.
H&H Imperial War Museum results
H&H held their first physical auction of the year at one of their usual venues, the Imperial War Museum Duxford this week. There were no major surprises and it is clear that there is still plenty of demand for pre war cars with £191,250 paid for a Lagonda M45 Rapide Tourer whilst some very spirited bidding took a 1933 Rolls Royce 20/25 to double its estimate at £78,750, clearly the rakish good looks of the Freestone & Webb body inspired two people to fight over a very nice looking Rolls Royce.
H&H online auction this week
H&H have their second auction this month this time in an online format on the 21st October,. There are some interesting cars in this sale such as a very low mileage (9877 miles) MG Metro Turbo estimated at £18,000 to £20,000.
Mathewsons results now available
Mathewsons auctions results from last weekend are now available on the Glen March auction results website. Quite a few no sales, but not that unexpected as we move into the winter months and a world of Covid based restrictions which are inevitably slowing the market.
