Silverstone Auctions Dawn of Motoring Sale

Silverstone Auctions Dawn of Motoring sale will take place on the 4th August and the lot list is building nicely. There are some real gems in this sale with a number of SS Cars due to be sold which as many of you will know was William Lyons company before it became Jaguar. In particular we are taken by the two SS1 and SS2 cars on offer. There is a 1934 SS2 which has clearly been nicely restored in the past and it comes with what is in our opinion a conservative estimate of £20,000 to £25,000 and another unrestored car with the same estimate is also on offer. Along with the SS1 cars they are rare pieces of motoring history and whilst we all know the market in pre war cars is no longer buoyant it would be surprising for there not to be competitive bidding for these cars which so rarely come to market. A real opportunity for someone in our view. The lot list is well worth a look, there are plenty of interesting cars on offer including a 3 litre Bentley.
