Flurry of auctions this week

A quick reminder that this week brings several end of year auctions. This includes Historics at Ascot Racecourse on the 12th. The sale includes quite a number of no reserve cars such as a Standard Vanguard Phase 1 which should generate plenty of interest. Mathewsons have a two day sale with 100 or so lots on Friday evening followed by the bulk of cars on Saturday. If you want something very different for your Christmas stocking, this sale gives you the chance to buy a World War 2 1941 Austin K2 Fire Engine! Bonhams will be holding their last MPH sale on the 11th December. Again lots of no reserve cars in this sale to tempt the punters including a 1962 Jaguar MK2 3.4.

We also have ongoing at present a Brightwells online auction which finishes on the 10th December. Included in this sale is a rare Tickford-bodied two-door 1953 Lagonda 2.6-litre Sports Saloon; one of only around 70 made and perhaps a dozen surviving; interesting project with lots of potential; from a deceased estate.

Finally on the 12th Classic Car Auctions will be holding their final sale of the year at Stoneleigh Park and this sale includes a MG Rover ZT 1.8 Turbo with just six miles from new.

This week might well cause some auction fatigue!
