Brian May Bristol sale results now available

If you are a Bristol enthusiast you will appreciate the impact the late Brian May had on the hobby with his extensive collection of Bristol cars and parts which he supplied to enthusiasts over many decades. The sale of his remaining collection of cars and parts took place this week at Brightwells and the results are now available on their website. Bidding for the parts, some of which are very rare and hard to come by, especially the engines on offer was very strong indeed. In addition there were several rare variants such as the 1959 Bristol Wingfield Special where bidding before premium hit £55,100. A 1951 Bristol 401 bodied by Beutler achieved £40,250 before premium and a 1949 Bristol 401 Superlegerra bodied by Touring of Milan went on to make £67,250.
