Silverstone Auctions autumn sale produced a sale rate of just under 70% with 20 lots not finding new homes. The strong sellers were as always Ferrari with all five 308 cars finding new homes at good prices. The standout result has to be the Ferrari 308 GTS QV which was a low mileage example that achieved £88,550 which was towards the top end of its estimate. The unique car of the sale was the Lynx Eventer which is an extremely rare estate car version of the Jaguar XJS 5.3 HE V12. Despite being in need of restoration that car went on to achieve a strong £28750 which was within its estimate and certainly worthy of such a rare car.
