Mathewsons results are now available online from their two day sale over Friday and Saturday. Some of the highlights are the £23,585 paid for a 1962 Vauxhall Cresta which looks superb in the pictures. A 1973 series 3 E Type Coupe achieved a very strong £79,500. A MK1 Ford Fiesta with a little over 3,000 miles on the clock but in need of recommissioning/restoration made £11,336. Mk 1 Fiesta's have been forecast tpo do well this year especially with Ford now discontinuing the model. We were impressed by the £27,686 paid for a 1959 Austin Healey Frogeye which looked superb and this is the money that was being paid for these cars at their peak. A 1959 Morris Oxford Traveller made £20,928 again top money for one of these cars. A 1976 Ford Granada Ghia with 40,400 miles on the clock made £17,222. A 1957 Austin A30 Pickup is something of a rarity and that was reflected in the price paid of £20,165. A superb Austin 6 CWT Van made £21,200. Fast Fords are yet to go out of fashion with a little under £25k paid for a 1983 Ford Fiesta XR2.whilst a 1979 Ford Escort RS2000 made £42,400 and a 1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth made £82,600..
