Barons first classic car auction of the year took place this week. These sales do seem to include a lot of relatively modern cars that are on the cusp of classic status. The bargain might well have been the left hand drive Jaguar MK2 3.8 which looked nice in the pictures and sold for £23,650. MK2 3.8 values have risen quite significantly over the last 12 months and they are well into E-Type territory for exceptional examples. The oddball rarity was a 1954 Austin A40 Devon Pick Up which sold for £13,200.
