Silverstone Auctions at the NEC

Silverstone Auctions last sale of the year takes place at the NEC Classic Car show this coming weekend with the sale split over both days. The line up of cars is an impressive one with several low mileage cars which are going to be the ones most likely to achieve a premium. This includes a 1988 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 with just 6,000 miles on the clock (estimate £100,000 to £115,000), a 2011 Ford Focus RS with 18 miles from new (£38,000 to £44,000), a 1989 Ford Escort XR3i Cabriolet with 10,995 miles (£15,000 to £20,000). The market will also be tested such as the Ford Escort MK RS1600 in concours condition with an estimate of £70,0000 to £80,000. This is record territory, but where do you find another with its original shell in such condition.Another low mileage fast Ford which is in the Saturday sale is a 1987 Ford Capri 280 Brooklands with just 5,500 miles on the clock which is estimated at £45,000 to £55,000. On Sunday if you fancy a bit of TV memorabilia there is the opprtunity to purchase Derek Trotter's Relian Van which was used in the TV series Only Fools and Horses.
