Austin Seven Swallow at Richard Edmonds

It is extremely rare for an Austin Seven Swallow Two seater tourer to come to market, and it wasn't until April of last year that one arrived to auction for the first time in more than 10 years. This was only because of the death of the owner and unsurprisingly the market demand was high when Richard Edmonds sold that car with a record price of £40,000 achieved. Fast forward one year and another is coming to market and according to the Richard Edmonds notes this is probably the best example that exists today. The pictures certainly suggest that as does the estimate of £50,000 to £60,000. This will certainly be a test of demand for pre war cars and undoubtedly the rarity and condition will push the price high on the day, but it will still be interesting to see of it achieves the record levels suggested by the estimate. A lovely car if your wallet is deep enough. The sale takes place on the 9th March at Richard Edmonds usual venue in Chippenham.
