About the Alvis TB21

When Alvis produced their new TA 21, they approached AP Metalcraft again to make a 2 seater version. They adapted their TB 14 body to fit the chassis and running gear of the TA 21. They dispensed with the controversial grill of the TB 14 and replaced it with a conventional Alvis grill. the windscreen was capable of folding flat.

The 2993 cc engine was modified to produce extra power and used a single SU carburettor to replace the Solex used on the Alvis saloon.

Final drive ratio was changed from 4.09:1 to 3.77:1 to enable increased speed capability. The car was capable of 95 mph.
