Silverstone Auctions

Today's online auction at Silverstone Auctions appears to have gone very well and if anything shows the classic car market has felt a very limited impact from COVID 19. With 84% of the cars sold among which there have been some very good prices achieved. A 1962 Jaguar D-Type 'Short Nose' Recreation achieved a strong £355,000 whilst a 1972 BMW 3.0 CSL (E9) from the collection of Jay Kay went on to find £151,200. A 1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV found £47,000 and for us a standout and if anything a sign of a strengthening market certainly in some cars was the £85,000 paid for a Jaguar MK2 3.8 which had 20,400 miles on the clock.
