Brightwells

No major surprises in this auction. A very nice 1972 Jensen Interceptor made just over £50k which is top money for one of these and goes against the grain of most recent sale prices for these cars which have been hovering around £25k to £40k. A 1953 Jowett Jupiter with a few jobs outstanding made its way to £25,984 which is about right for one of these. A 1967 MG TF 1250 made £16,912. This car was showing its age, but this result confirms recent trends that these cars have been slipping in value along with all T series cars. The Automobile Magazine sale generated low values for their cars although all being in oil rag condition and in general need of more TLC were never going to make record prices. The Franklin Model G did the best achieving £25,480 for a car that according to the blurb has been off the road since 1910. A 1974 BMW 2002 Tii with 69,000 miles from new made £17,752 which is well below record pace for one of these, but still a good price in our view.
