This weekend (11th July) brings a large online sale of Petroliana being held by Richard Edmonds. There is something for everyone in the sale and for those with the deepest pocket a BP 'Winner' pictorial enamel sign, from the 1920s, showing a racing car at speed coming towards the viewer which is estimated at a big £15,000 to £20,000. Given the pace of price rises in Petroliana we fully expect this sign to achieve its estimate. The market remains very buoyant!
