Classic Car Auctions sale last weekend generated a couple of interesting records. The first which was well flagged up by the classic car community was a 1990 Audi ur-Quattro 20v (RR) which made £86,625. The 20-valve RR, 2226cc was the last incarnation of Audi's legendary Quattro and according to CCA less than 300 right-hand drive, ur-Quattro RRs were produced. This particular example was bought effectively from new and has just 32,622 miles on the clock making it an extremely original example.

The other car of note was a 1975 Ford Capri RS3100 which was actually a prototype and with just one owner from new this car was certainly going to generate interest. If you also consider that just 249 further cars were made the rarity factor plays a big part in the premium these cars generate and this one did just that with a final price of £74,250, comfortably a record for one of these.
