DT Mathewsons sale

Mathewsons last sale of the year took place over Friday evening and all day Saturday. From what we could see of the results which will be published on Glen March over the coming days there were few surprises. The one car that everyone was focused on was the 1963 Ford Consul Cortina with just 20 miles from new and went on to make a little over £24k. Undoubtedly one of the best references you are ever going to find which we hope will be preserved in its current state. The video below shows the car. The other car of interest was a 1990 Vauxhall Astra GTE which we understand will feature in a new show in 2022 where the Mathewsons team become involved in the restoration of cars which are then sold at their auctions. This car was subjected to a £12,000 rebuild and the price of a little over £17k must be an auction record for one of these. We look forward to seeing the show next year.
