Detectorists TR7 sells for £32,400 at Mathewsons
A new record we suspect for a TR7 was generated by Mathewsons latest auction which achieved a significant £32,400. The car's claim to fame was its inclusion in the three series of the highly popular Detectorists comedy series which was written and starred in by Mackenzie Crook alongside Toby Jones.
Brian May Bristol sale results now available
If you are a Bristol enthusiast you will appreciate the impact the late Brian May had on the hobby with his extensive collection of Bristol cars and parts which he supplied to enthusiasts over many decades. 1971 Triumph Stag Fastback Prototype to be sold at Bonhams Goodwood Members Meeting Sale
If you want to own the one and only model of a Triumph Stag the Bonhams Goodwood Members Meeting sale is the place to be. They will be selling one of only three Fastback Stag prototypes built (only this one is known to survive) which has been in the same family ownership since 1985.
Results from CCA now available
Classic Car Auctions held their sale of the year at the NEC Classic Car and Restoration show over the course of yesterday and today and the results are now online. Of notable interest are the 1962 Morris Minor 1000 (Series 3) which achieved top dollar money at £11,475 and demonstrates how much a good example can now command.
Michael Caine's Rolls Royce sells for £135,000
Some celebrity names attached to a car can create very strong interest and a real premium price for a seller. One such example is a sale by H&H on the 15th March of a 1968 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow Two-Door Drophead Coupe which was supplied new to Sir Michael Caine CBE.

Richard Edmonds will be selling an excellent array of automobilia this coming weekend including rare globes, signs and other related items. Of particular interest is a rare Shell Motor Oil glass oil pump globe estimated at £3,000 to £5,000.
Bonhams spring automobilia auction closes in two days
Bonhams have an interesting selection of brochures, pamphlets etc in their current online automobilia auction all of which is being sold no reserve and it includes rarities such as a 904 Carrera GTS sales brochure from March 1964 which is estimated at £300 to £500 and has a current bid on it of £110. The sale is well worth a look, there may well be bargains to be had!.
