About the Jaguar MK 2 3.4 Litre
The MK II Jaguar was introduced in 1959 to replace the 2.4 and 3.4 saloons that were sold in the 1950s. The car had a redesigned suspension to improve roadholding and reduce the tendency to roll. The rear track was wider than the earlier car. It had a wrap around rear window and more side window chrome to enhance the appearance. Total cabin glass area was 18% more than the MK 1. The 3.4 Litre was the mid model of 3 that were produced. Top model was the 3.8 and the bottom entry was the 2.4 Litre. Disc brakes were introduced onto the front wheels of the MK II
