The Sapphire 346 was produced between 1952 and 1958, with a total production of 7,697 vehicles. .Production of Mk2 saloons ended in 1958 and Mk2 Limousines in 1959 to make way for the Star Sapphire.

The 346 Limousine has a 4 door limousine body style with a front located engine powering the rear wheels. Power is supplied by an overhead valve, 3.4 litre naturally aspirated 6 cylinder engine, with 2 valves per cylinder that provides power and torque figures of 125 bhp (127 PS/93 kW) at 4700 rpm and 247 N·m (182 lb·ft/25.2 kgm) at 2000 rpm respectively. The engine transfers its power through to the wheels by means of a 4 speed manual gearbox. It weighs a quoted 1830 kg at the kerb.
