South Western Vehicle Auctions

SWVA's last auction contained a number of interesting cars including the odd rarity and some low mileage cars. The Riley Kestrel too the prize for very low mileage with just 728 miles on the clock which helped the car to what was probably a record for this model of £11,232. Other notable results include a very nice Bristol 401 which went on to achieve £39,420. A fully rebuilt Jaguar MK2 3.8 litre car which reflected the £60,000 which had been spent on it by a previous owner hit £38,880. A lovely Jaguar MkIX which had a warranted 65,000 miles on the clock certainly deserved the £23,591 it achieved. MGA Twin Cam cars are something of a rarity and when they do come to market they usually achieve something around the £40k mark. The car in this sale looks exceptionally nice judging from the pictures and the price of £37,800 looks about right for an ex left hand drive car that had been converted. The 1935 Alvis Silver Eagle looked good value at £14,580. We end with the £24,840 paid for a 1976 Rover 3500 P6 VIP which was surely a record by a comfortable margin for one of these cars. The car looked exceptional and so it should be having undergone a £40,000 restoration.
