DVCA
08 June 2017
DVCA' latest sale generated mixed results and with several pre war cars on sale it was interesting to see what results they generated. The market for many pre war cars is now very tough indeed but all of the cars from this era in the sale found new owners albeit most at lower prices than what you might have paid four or five years ago. The one exception was a fine looking Austin Seven Chummy which was not even the rare pram hood version, but still made a very respectable £18,150. It was still quite a rare early variant with scuttle mounted headlamps and a magneto engine. The market for early E-Types shows no signs of abating and this sale included a series 1 3.8 roadster which was a an incomplete restoration with a lot still to do, but it still powered its way to the princely sum of £80,300.
