DVCA held their last auction at their new location of Athelhampton House near Dorchester, Dorset, DT2 7LG. There were some interesting cars on offer and arguably one or two bargains to be had. The first notable result has to be the 1956 Lancia Aurelia B20GT Series 6 car which had apparently been subjected to a full restoration in the past although no documents were available to confirm this. The car had also been treated to a full interior refurbishment and although having been in storage for several years now came to market in seemingly sound condition. These cars can fetch upwards of 100k and the final sale price of £61000 looked very good value in our view. The other car that would have tempted us was the Talbot AX 65 Light 6 saloon which looked in lovely condition. These cars can be somewhat underpowered but good examples can still command comfortably over 20k making this one good value in our view at £19250.
