There were no major surprises in this sale and if anything some prices looked weak offering buyers the odd bargain or two. That said there were also strong results such as the £41,070 paid for a 1987 Mercedes 300SL with 43,000 miles on the clock. A 1985 Ferrari Mondial 3.0 Quattrovalvole looked cheap at £21,645. A 1983 Opel Manta (B2) GT 1.8S with just 13,900 miles on the clock sold for £14,430. There has been a lot of interest in these cars during the last year and we can only assume the condition was not as good given the price achieved as would have expected a bit more for such low mileage. The big price of the sale is the £85,470 paid for a 1990 Audi Quattro 20V. These have been shooting up in value, but this has to be an auction record for what is a relatively low mileage car at 48,300 miles on the clock. Low mileage original cars demand the money and a 1982 Triumph TR7 proved that with just shy of £12,000 paid for a 14,541 mile car. Another low miler, a 19,000 miles 1980 MGB Roadster also did well achieving £14,208.
