We always enjoy our day at ACA's auction, a a packed auction room as we have come to expect with 280 cars on offer. 75% of the cars found a new home realising around £2m on the day. The staff at ACA are always incredibly friendly and helpful and if you are ever thinking of auctioning a classic they are well worth talking to. The cars that we focused on in our pre auction report all did well on the day. The stand out car for us had to be the Ford Cortina MK 1500GT which reached a final value almost £6,000 above estimate at ? This was a truly fine car and in our view worth every penny. We were also impressed with the little Austin Mini van which had been the subject of a full restoration and was estimated at £6,000 to £8,000 but went on to achieve. The Austin A90 Atlantic which had been the subject of a £65,000 restoration unsurprising surpassed its estimate of £16,000 to £20,000 to reach ? which still looked cheap for such a well restored car. We look forward to the next sale which takes place on November 7th.
