This book tells the story of those far-off times, and the impact the car made on the motor racing world. Uniquely, the book continues the story of 250Fs racing after their international careers were over, in the Americas and Australasia as well as in Europe, and charts their subsequent return to the circuits as popular draw-cards for historic motor racing. Technical developments are traced, and blind-alley experiments such as aerodynamic bodywork and V12 engines examined. Appendices detail the major 250F successes, and the history of every one of the twenty-eight cars built by the Modena factory between the end of 1953 and the middle of 1958.
