Silverstone Auctions two day online sale has generated lots of good results and especially day 2 where 30 well chosen cars to celebrate 30 years of the Silverstone Classic were sold all at no reserve. These included some exceptionally nice low mileage cars and the end result was some very good priced indeed. Examples of these cars include a 1971 Triumph TR6 (sold for £28,125), a 1967 Jaguar S Type 3.4 (£29,250), 1992 Mercedes -Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II (£180,000), 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL (W113) Pagoda (£96,750), 1961 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Roadster (£112,500), 1958 AC Ace Bristol (£220.000),1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GTS (£337.500). 1994 Porsche 911 (964) Carrera RS (£208,125). In addition to these cars a good number of Porsche 911 cars were sold and again achieved strong prices such as a 1998 Porsche 911 (993) Turbo S (£264,375), 1997 Porsche 911 (993) C2 Targa (£78,750), 1996 Porsche 911 (993) Turbo (£168,750), 1989 Porsche 911 (930) Turbo LE (£163,125). There were many more an most of these cars were very low mileage, but again it shows that low mileage original cars are continuing to command premium prices. This was part of Anthony Hamilton, Lewis Hamilton's father;s collection.
