New record for an Austin A105 Westminster Vanden Plas at SWVA

Despite a difficult backdrop at the moment for classic car sales we still get the odd outlier result and the latest was the princely sum of just over £30,000 paid for a 1959 Austin A105 Westminster Vanden Plas. The narrative does not give away the condition of the car, but the photographs certainly do although and it clearly captured the attention of at least two bidders to take it to such a premium which is undoubtedly a record for one of these cars. The other strong seller at this sale was not unexpected and that was the £34,000 paid for a 1973 MGB GT V8.
