With so many auction houses it is inevitable that sale dates are going to clash and that is the case for the next Historics sale which takes place on the same day of Richard Edmonds second sale of the year. The Historics sale currently has 188 cars listed and within that list there are plenty of interesting cars up for grabs. This includes what appears to be a nice Daimler Dart estimated at £24,000 to £30,000 which seems a little conservative given that these cars can command well over £30k at the moment. The Dart is a fabulous car to drive with plenty of power available from the V8 2.5 litre engine. It is quite understandable why these cars go for a premium and this is quite likely to be the case for this car. It will be very interesting to see what the Lotus Esprit S1 goes for in this sale. We have not seen a S1 come to auction for several years and the last sold in the 20K level, but times have moved on and with dealers regularly asking over £50k for these James Bond cars we might well see this one reach its estimate of £45,000 - £50,000.
