Brightwells online auction gets underway this week

Brightwells latest time auction got underway on Saturday and will end on the 5th November. Brightwells have not held a full size classic car auction this year due to the pandemic which is a shame because they always attract large numbers of cars but also understandable given the limitations of the Covid pandemic. This sale has some interesting cars and our choices include the 1983 Opel Manta Berlinetta 1.8S (Estimate: £5,000-7,000) which looks good value with just 51,200 miles and a largely original car. We also rather like the 2002 Morgan Plus 8 which has just 8,032 miles from new which should mean it comfortably makes its estimate of £25,000-30,000. The 1964 Ford Cortina Mk1 Lotus also looks good value at its estimate of £32,000-36,000. Finally, the best story has to be the 1927 Austin Seven Chummy which is being sold by a son who's father bought the car from a scrapyard some 73 years ago!
