Brightwells on Wednesday
04 March 2018
Brightwells first classic sale takes place this coming Wednesday. It offers up a nice array of cars with opportunities for all sizes of pocket. The rarities on offer include a Bristol 405 which is one of just 265 examples made. The car in this sale is in need of restoration and comes with an estimate of £20,000 to £25,000. If you are seeking bargain basement the little Austin Seven Box saloon in this sale with an estimate of just £2,500 to £3,500 might well be good value. The car has had very little use over the last 10 years but prior to that it had been subjected to £7,000 of restoration work and although in need of re-commissioning the amount of work required should not be too great for a car that still looks to be in good shape. The car that really takes our fancy is the Jaguar XK150 3.8 SE which is being sold from a deceased estate. Whilst photographs can be deceptive the car does look to be exceptionally nice. The car appears to have been well looked after and although in need of some gentle re-commissioning after two years of little use, it should still be good value for money at the estimate of £48,000 to £52,000.
