Bonhams MPH sale results

Unsurprisingly the Bonhams MPH sale achieved a very high rate of no sales when it finished on Monday. In view of the restrictions the auction houses have faced within the last week it was always going to be a difficult task selling cars that in some cases people have been unable to view and have instead had to rely on video and descriptions to make a judgement on a car. The additional restrictions imposed by the UK government this week have resulted in a number of auction house sales being cancelled and deferred until late in the second quarter at the earliest. Only time will tell if these have to be pushed back further still.

One sale that was achieved in the MPH sale was a 1967 Honda S800 which looked to be in relatively good condition judging by the pictures and narrative. The lucky buyer certainly bagged a bargain in the sealed bid process with a winning bid of just £7,875 which in our book is less than the half price for a decent car and more like the kind of money you would pay for a restoration!
