Bonhams MPH results now online
20 September 2020
Bonhams latest MPH sale took place at Bicester today and the results in include one or two surprises such as a world record price for a 1968 Wolseley 6/110 saloon which looked superb and must have been so with a vendor rating of 99/10. The car had come from a deceased estate and achieved a huge £16,875. The demand for the right pre war cars shows no signs of waning as evidenced by the £78,750 paid for a 1935 Alvis Speed 20SC. A Porsche 911 (993) cabriolet looked a little on the cheap side at £29,250 although that may reflect the condition rating of only 65/100 with mechanics looking a little weak. Interestingly a coupe later in the sale with a higher vendor rating achieved just £28,125. Perhaps 911 prices are continuing to weaken. A nice looking TR6 which was not UK registered looked cheap at £12,937 although this could have been a converted left hand drive car, A 1983 Talbot Sunbeam Lotus achieved a strong £29,250 whilst another cheap car was a 1954 Heinkel Trojan which almost looked half price at £11,250 compared to other recent auction results.
