Bonhams Goodwood sale

Picking through the results of the Bonhams Goodwood sale suggests a mixed picture. All of the headlines are focusing on the £10m plus paid for the 1961 Aston Martin 'MP209' DB4GT, and the almost £2m paid for the DB5 that featured in the Goldeneye film, but elsewhere the £450k paid for a 1967 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Volante or the sub £500k for a DB5 plus a number of no sales and sub £200k prices for Ferrari Dino 246GT suggests prices are well off the top for a number of key makes and models. That said some are still strong and getting stronger such as the £404k paid for an AC Ace although it was the first car built and came with some heft provenance. All things considered the market is flat at best for the top end of the market, but from our data a lot healthier when you get into the £10k to £20k price bracket.
