BMW 2002 values still rising

BMW 2002 values still rising

Despite what is now a very lacklustre market for many classics there are a few notable exceptions. Various BMW models have continued to rise in value this year with the 3.0 CSL cars very strong performers at auctions in recent months. The knock-on effect of this is that the lower models have also been dragged higher. One pocket of value which is seemingly disappearing is among the 2002/2002 Tii cars with the latter injected cars rising quite quickly at the moment. Not so long ago £10,000 would have bought you a very nice example, but values now seem to be chasing £20k and upwards for top examples. It was interesting to see a 2002 Tii which recently sold at the latest SWVA sale for £17,500 plus buyers premium. This car was in need of attention in various places with the doors showing visible corrosion. This makes the £25,000 plus premium that someone paid for a very nice car at a recent Brightwells sale almost look cheap. These cars do not often come onto the market and some sellers may yet have realised just how much these cars can now command which might make keeping a close eye on the private ads a worthwhile exercise if you are seeking one.
