Anglia Car Auctions on the 4th November
01 November 2017
ACA hold their final sale of the year this coming Saturday which is likely to be well attended as usual. With 221 entries there is plenty to interest all budgets with a particular emphasis in this sale on restorations which have come from more than one collection which are being sold off over the next two sales. Among the restorations are an Alvis TA14 utility (estimate £3,000 to £5,000) and also less rare but possibly with a valuable registration plate (7 JLG), an Alvis TD21 (estimate £1500 to £3000). The deceased owner clearly had a strong interest in Alvis as there is also an Alvis TF21 which was apparently the last car made (estimate £15,000 to £18,000). The comedian and impressionist John Culshaw is selling two Ford Cortina MK3 cars from his collection which should do well as they both appear to be in very good condition. There is a very nice looking Fords E83W which has an estimate of £8,000 to £10,000 that looks about right. There are a lot of no reserve cars in this auction which include an MGTF 1500 which might well be a bargain given that top examples can sell for over £30k. The car in this sale does not have its original engine, but it does seem to be reasonably sound. Another potentially cheap car is a Porsche 911 SC which requires full restoration although the estimate reflects this at £10,000 to £15,000. To see the full lot list please click here
