About the Daimler 420 Sovereign
The Daimler Sovereign was a Daimler badged version of the Jaguar 420. It was the replacement for the S-Type, and had similar rear and central bodywork but with a front section simialay to the Jaguar MK 10/420G. It had black fluted camcovers with the word Daimler inserted, plus a few internal extras. Production of the Daimler continued into 1969. Only a limited number had a manual gearbox with overdrive. This model was the precursor for the very successful XJ6.
