About the Austin A50
The Austin A50 Cambridge was a standard 3 box designed family saloon. It used the new B Series engine with a Zenith carburrettor and 9 inch drum brakes were fitted all round. It had independent front suspension and semi elliptic leaf springs with a torsion bar anti roll bar fitted at the rear. The winged A mascot was still evident on the bonnet.
