South Western Vehicle Auctions

SWVA's first auction of the year at their usual location in Poole did not contain any real surprises. The trend in fast Fords was confirmed once again with a Sierra RS Cosworth achieving £45,360 although it did have a warranted 22,000 miles on the clock. A lovely Sunbeam Alpine 5 burst through its estimate of £6500 to £7500 to hit £13,230. This is not the first time we have seen a good Alpine achieve comfortably over £10k and these cars deserve to be moving up in our view. A V12 E-Type coupe that was being sold from a deceased estate and was in need of restoration work made a strong £27,166 whilst an Austin Healey 3000 MK1 from the same estate and again in need of restoration work went on to make £42,120. A rare Bristol 403 that appeared to be in very nice condition was in demand taking the final price to £42,120 which was a fair price for this 2 litre Bristol.
