Historics

Historics weekend auction of 194 cars provided more auction records and achieved a high sale rate. The cars of particular note are teh Austin Healey Frogeye Sprite which admittedly was in near perfect condition but the price of £25200 muct be a record for one of these and well above the estimate of £14,000-£18,000. We were impressed by two Jaguar XKs, one was a XK150SE DHC which was being sold from a deceased estate and appeared to be largely original and in very good odrer which went on to achieve just over £96,000 whilst another highly original car, this time an XK140 DHC with what appeared to be just 66,00 miles on the clock made just over £104,000. A record price was achieved for a DeLorean which was the last car built in 1981 and was in as new condition. The price tag of £57,120 is not therefore that surprising and can only go in one direction in our view, especially with just 24 miles on the clock!. A really good and diverse range of cars was offered for sale in this auction and Historics are to be commended on putting on an ecellent auction day.
