Classic Car Auctions

The first Classic Car Auctions sale of the year generated a good sale result with approximately 82% of the lots finding new homes. There was a good cross section of cars on offer and although no stand out results there were one or two interesting sale prices. The first was the £40,150 paid for a Jaguar E-Type V12 2+2. Not so long ago these cars were struggling to make it past the £20k mark and this sale result is very strong especially with its overall condition rating of 80/135, although if the mileage of 79,500 is original that certainly adds value to the car. Triumph Stag valuations have been all over the place during recent months and this sale included a sound example with just 66,500 miles on the clock with a condition rating of 81/135; the car went on to achieve a strong £19,250 suggesting that you still have to expect to pay up to £20k for a low mileage original example.
