Brightwells

Brightwells sale at their second venue, the Bicester Heritage Centre achieved some good results. The £27,500 paid for a top condition BMW 2002 Tii shows the market will pay top dollar for a correct car and it also shows these cars are playing catch up in valuation terms to their bigger brothers such as the 3.0 CSL where values have gone crazy over the last two years or so.A 1976 Ferrari 308 GTB with just one owner from new cost and one of just 154 right hand drive examples cost its new owner £123,000. Commercial classics always seem to find ready buyers at the moment and in this sale a near perfect Austin A60 Pick-up which had been the subject of a full restoration made an impressive £19,000 which must be close to record territory for one of these cars. There were several Austin Sevens in this sale, bu the one that caught our eye was a well built special that went on to make a little over £19,000 which is strong money for one of these, but certainly worth it in our view.
