Anglia Car Auctions amassed another huge selection of cars for their latest auction with around 250 cars on offer of which 190 sold making for another successful sale rate against a backdrop of a weaker market. ACA have found several BMW 3.0CSL cars for their sales this year and with prices rising exponentially for these cars, it was no surprise to see the example in this sale find its way to £120,750. An Austin Healey 300 MK3 with three SU carbs which is something of a rarity achieved a strong £75,600 including premium. Demand for commercial classics never seems to wane and this sale included a very pretty 1949 Bedford KD 30cwt Dropside which comfortably made its estimate achieving £10,290. Also on offer was a lovely Fordson E83W Pick-Up which had been subjected to an extensive restoration and that went on to make £10,762. A very nice Ford Zodiac MK2 which had been subject to a full nut and bolt rebuild went on to make £14,910 which was towards the top end of its estimate. It is not often that you come across a Honda S800 and especially one in right hand drive form. The car in this sale appeared to be in need of some recommissioning but that did not stop it from making a strong £16,800; this one had been offered with no reserve. A full restored Jaguar MK2 3.4 which had also been subjected to upgrades clearly presented well as it went on to make £63,000 although this was actually towards the bottom end of its estimate. Low mileage still counts when it comes to achieving the best auction results and it was therefore no surprise to see a rare 1978 Vauxhall Chevette 2300 HS with just 7,800 miles on the clock make the top end of its estimate at £29,400.
