Anglia Car Auctions

As always seems to be the case at the start of a new year at Anglia Car Auctions there is always a big turnout with buyers looking for their next summer motoring charge whilst dealers seek out fresh stock as they gear up for spring and the inevitable rush. The end result is a packed house, possibly a top three all time attendance rate and with that brings lots of good sales. Some of the big purchases of the day include the 1967 Amphicar CV 770 which sold for £42,400, a little below the estimate of £45,000 to £55,000, but such a car is always difficult to guide given the rarity factor. The 1966 Auto Union DKW F11 with just 713 miles from new sold for £5,936 which was towards the top end of its estimate and we understand has been bought by Audi for their heritage collection. A 1988 BMW E30 M3 Evolution II LHD which was sold without reserve sold for a huge £68,900 which reflects the strong interest being shown in the fast BMWs of the late 80s and 90s. Plenty of interesting results such as the £12,720 paid for the one owner low mileage MGB Roadster which is already back on the market with a dealer at £16,995. It is probably worth that for the originality factor.
